From the Principal's Desk
Our principal, Jeanette Johnson, has her own blog - titled From the Principal's Desk! She is just getting started and invites your readership and comments. As a leader in our school and our district, I have no doubt that this blog will not only be informational, but thought-provoking. Welcome to the world of blogging and the Read/Write Web, Ms. Johnson.

Thanks for the welcome to the blogosphere, Dr. Coleman - and thanks as well, for the key role you played both in motivating me to start one and in showing me how! I truly do welcome any and all comment - I'll be using the blog to muse, to share information, and most importantly to seek input from others regarding their thoughts about our school and its programs. And, for all those students out there who know so much more about technology than I do, I also welcome your suggestions and help for how I can become less of a beginner... Save Ms. Johnson from her old-fogeyness!

Jeanette,
I am totally impressed to see the leader of this great institution leading by example. We are also fortunate to have Marie Coleman lighting the way as we leave the dark ages behind us.

Yolanda - You are absolutely right about the importance of these programs, and about our great faculty that is leading the way - it's so easy to get 'settled in' to the way we've always done things, but in doing so we fall behind not only society but, far more importantly, our students, and their ways of learning. Thanks so much for recognizing that - I look forward to your contributions to our 21st century approach to education - your students are very lucky to have you as a leader and advocate!
